How to Submit a Directory Listing to DexDir

In order for your submission to qualify for approval your submitted resource must a webmaster friendly English language web directory or related resource (web directory blog, directory administrator's network, meta search engine, etc.) that will pass its page rank to the directoies/websites/blogs which it lists, and it must conform to our Directory Listing Submission Guidelines. These guidelines insure that DexDir remains a quality index that only lists quality related resources.

Navigate the directory to an appropriate category and sub-category. DexDir does not accept submissions in the top level categories (this helps avoid spam submissions), so be sure that you have drilled down as far as you can to take advantage of the service and related keywords.
Click on "Submit Listing" in the upper right corner of the page just under the top page header area. This link will not appear in top level categories.
Enter your URL and E-mail information into the form fields presented. Your URL (web address/link) must be accessible. The e-mail address you volunteer to us for listing submission validation will not be published, nor will it be shared or sold in any way. Your e-mail address is intended to verify your listing request once your listing has been submitted and to contact you should there be any issues with it. We also may contact you with search optimization news and/or updates to our service when they occur. Instructions at the end of any such DexDir e-mail newsletter will allow you to opt-out of this service.
On the resulting page after submitting your URL and email address, you will be presented with a submission form. The form will be prepulated with your given URL and email address.
- Choose what type of listing you would like. As any online directory allows its administrators to enter and approve a listing submission, and because directories were designed to index valuable resources, regular listings from our index of directories require a reciprocal link back to DexDir from the domain used for the submitted listing. Those that choose not to exchange links can do so by purchasing a Featured Listing for a nominal fee.
  
  A Reciprocal Link Listing option requires that you setup a reciprocal back link from your listing submission domain. This reciprocal link needs to be active before you submit the form on this page. Once the reciprocal link is setup and active on your site, enter that reciprocal listing's URL (web address/link) on your site into the first "Reciprocal Link" field on the form.   A Featured Listing not only allows your site a one-way link from our website, but also allows you to use a deep link URL into any page within your site.
- Choose 5 keywords to associate with your listing. These should assist a user to find your listing when searching the directory for a related service. Each keyword should be separarted by a comma and a space.
- Your listing Title and Description should be unique. Changing your Title and Description text from your standard marketing theme message will benefit your link and the future PR (Page Rank) of the page where your link will be listed.
- Enter the security code shown below the form. This step also helps us avoid spam submissions from software spam bots.
- Agree to DexDir.com's Terms of Service (TOS) by checking that checkbox.
- Submit your entry by clicking the "Next" link at the end of that page.
- If the submission is unsuccessful, correct any mistakes presented at the top of the form and retry.
If you have selected a paid listing option such as a Featured Listing, you will be presented with a button with which to proceed on to PayPal to finalize the transaction with your payment. Click the button and pay for your purchase through PayPal. This completed action will also verify your listing request.
If you have chosen the Reciprocal Link Listing, you will still have to verify your listing submission request. You will have been sent a message to the e-mail address you provided wich will contain a link that you can click on to verify your submission. Log into your e-mail account, find that e-mail and verify your submission. If the link does not work, copy the whole link address and paste it into your web browser's address bar and hit enter. You should see a resulting web page at dexdir.com with your validated e-mail address confirmation.
